Welcome to the next in my series of blogposts focusing on my favourite wedding venues in Yorkshire – and this post features my wedding photography at the country house gem, The Devonshire Arms Hotel & Spa, situated on the Bolton Abbey Estate.

I captured one of my very first weddings at this Yorkshire Dales wedding venue around twelve years ago! And I’ve photographed there many, many times since. It is a very special place and is so perfectly suited to my style of photography with its rolling countryside surroundings, its very personal service and the fact that it is ideally positioned to offer intimate wedding days with style and elegance.

This country house hotel is set amongst 30,000 acres on the Bolton Abbey Estate – having access to this spectacular scenery and landscape for both a couple and their wedding guests is something quite unique. The images featured in this post are from an intimate wedding day at The Devonshire Arms – a family of four who chose a bespoke wedding day to celebrate their love and to spend time together as a family too. They had such a beautiful ceremony followed by relaxed drinks and canapés and I captured their time together in the gardens and grounds before they enjoyed a private meal together. It was an emotional ceremony and I felt very privileged to be stepping into their personal world at such a key time in their lives.
